Kung Lao Returning for MKX

Everyone’s favorite bladed-hat wielding character from the old-school Mortal Kombat series will be returning in the upcoming Mortal Kombat X. He will come with the Tempest, Buzz Saw, and Hat Trick forms of gameplay. The Tempest form will revolve around whirling spin attacks, the Buzz Saw form will focus primarily on the blade edges of his hat, and the Hat Trick form will give players control of where the hat is placed on the battlefield.

PlayStation Now Subscription Service Coming Soon

PlayStation Now, a streaming service allowing gamers to ‘rent’ titles from a catalog of PlayStation 3 games, will now be available as a subscription service starting January 13th. The Official PlayStation Blog has posted the latest details and plans will be available in one-month or three-month packages; $19.99 or $44.99 respectively.

World of Tanks Goes 8-bit for ‘Winter Showdown’

Popular tank versus tank combat game World of Tanks is getting a graphical overhaul in its new Winter Showdown mode coming January 26th. Players can battle it out in up to 20-player matches on a new map. No details on how long the new mode will be available, so WoT fans are encouraged to try it out as soon as it’s live! Animal Crossing Plaza Officially Closes

The charming and interactive Miiverse plaza for Animal Crossing New Leaf has sadly been discontinued. The announcement came earlier last year, but it wasn’t until now that the app for the Wii U has officially been taken down. The service ran from 08/07/2013 to 12/22/2014. Although no new posts will be allowed, all the old ones are still there to be viewed and enjoyed by fans.
